Smoking Blocks

BENDT Smoking Blocks provide BBQ enthusiasts and pit masters a deep smoke flavor that enhances any grilled / smoked meat, fish, vegetable, fruit or even cheese. Our smoking blocks are made from our various Texas craft whiskey barrels, all made from American white oak, and all the previous home of our award-winning Texas whiskeys.

Smoking blocks should be burned responsibly, using only grills or smokers equipped for wood burning. Smoking blocks do not need to be pre-soaked like wood chips, and will burn slower and longer than smoking chips.

For indirect grilling, add 2 to 3 smoking blocks to the top of your coals or inside your burn box. We advise that you wait until the coals are hot, but have stopped smoking to add smoking blocks. Replenish as needed.

For direct grilling, place 2-3 smoking blocks to your bed of coals, then grill your meat/veg on top.
