The ideal candidate should possess the following profile:

  • Outgoing and approachable with great interpersonal skills - can carry a conversation with guests at bar

  • The Heart of Hospitality/ Genuine & Sincere with an extremely positive attitude

  • Upholds the highest level of customer service

  • Driven by a desire to ensure that the customer experience is personal, memorable and enjoyable

  • Bartenders will also be serving tables

  • Well spoken, polite and articulate

  • Relevant work experience and background

  • Knowledge of craft cocktails, classics, flavor balance and a wide variety of various ingredients and ingredient categories

  • Experience in high demand bar, restaurant, brewery and distillery

  • Experience in and knowledge of bar operations - setup/breakdown of wells, glassware types and uses, general bar cleaning, and health and safety standards

  • Background in and/or knowledge of distilling, spirits, craft and pre-prohibition era cocktails

  • Knowledge of/passion for local spirits, beer, wine or the food scene in DFW a plus!

Other Requirements:

  • A natural multi-tasker and efficient problem solver

  • Able to perform tasks well while attending to/connecting with guests

  • Organized with a meticulous attention to detail

  • Be able to lift 50 lbs, and be able to stand/sit/bend for 8+ hours a day

  • Must maintain a clean well/work area at all times

  • Candidate must be 21+

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing all areas of the guest experience – greeting at entry, interaction throughout visit, points of service regarding bar and lounge area, making drinks (cocktail, beer, wine) using recipes and correct measurements. Jiggers are used at all times - no exceptions.

  • Table and bar food service – superior knowledge of upscale points of service and product knowledge - assistance with minor food preparation during slower hours (e.g. charcuterie)

  • Interact with customers and answer questions about the distillery spirits and products

  • Publicly represent Bendt Distilling Co in a friendly and approachable manner both at work and in personal life

  • Assistance in retail area and tours, when needed

  • Open and set up bar at arrival / break-down and clean bar at close. 

  • Assist in setup/ break down and general cleaning of bar and facility for private or public events from start to finish, including but not limited to venue and vendor setup, guest greeting, all points of service, guest sendoff, break-down, clean up and closing duties
